The SOLIDO system is the latest system for up to 10 people. Being rectangle, the Monolith tank requires 30t less excavation than other tank systems.
The SOLIDO sewage treatment plant draws upon the advantages of normal aeration systems but with the benefits of a sequence batch reactor!
This means it is simple and trouble free, without the need to run constantly. It is much more economic, prolonging the life of all the component parts.SBR technology is widely seen as the most cost effective method of sewage treatment. The batch reaction process ensures consistent standards are met, even during periods of high usage.
The other main advantage is that it can be installed in areas of high water table levels, and that it requires no concrete surround. Its unique patented design ensures that it will stay in the ground. We highly recommend this tank system
The system works basically like this; raw sewerage is fed into the primary tank (shown in brown in the above diagrams) where sludge builds at the base. An ‘airlift’ pump the takes some of the suspended solids from near the top of this tank, and sends it to the secondary tank. In this section of the tank the suspended solids are aerated. The semi treated sewage is then fed back to the primary chamber where the whole process starts again.
The Solido is a breakthrough in sewage treatment in the UK, Offering the unrivalled processing of an SBR system, but with the
simplicity of an aeration system. The ability to not need constant power and the option of an automatic holiday mode makes this treatment plant the first choice for domestic sewage treatment. The Rectangular tank, not needing concrete will also reduce the installation time and cost, yet another good reason to choose the Solido.

The advantages of the ‘Solido’ system
- No noise from the compressor
- No constantly running discs or aerators
- Cheaper and easier installation
- Lower running costs (from only £6 per person/per year electrical costs (subject to tariff costs))
- Highest quality parts and components that don’t need to run constantly mean easier maintenance, making your system even more cost effective
- The main components are kept under the lid in a sealed container. This keeps them at an ambient temperature and not exposed to temperature fluctuations
- The air intake pipe feeds only dry air to the compressor
- Our components are backed by our 3 year warranty
- No unsightly dome covers
- Can be installed in a driveway (with upgrade to drivable covers)

A Solido tank installed in the New Forest One of many tank systems we have installed for the Forestry Commission. Seen here the tank is safely lowered into the excavation; note how little excavating was required for the tank…and that it does not require to be surrounded with concrete, or to be bedded onto concrete |
