Mix old ‘salt-glazed’ pipe work with trees of large shrubs…and 9 times out of 10 this is the result!
Tree roots will break through the lime based cement joints and happily grow until the pipe is completely full, the most cost effective way to remove the ingress is our purpose built tree root cutting equipment… no digging…and no mess!
Once this has been carried out the drain can be relined.
The most common types of drain affected are old Clay and Pitched fibre pipes. The pitched fibre pipe work can be crushed by the force of the tree roots; this could lead to subsidence as the pipe work will now be leaking…!
